Ra4W VPN Review. Is It Worth Buying?

Ra4W VPN Review. Is It Worth Buying?

On the surface, RA4W VPN appears to be a cheap, beneficial, and professional service. However, the more you pursue it, the more frustrated you feel.

Ever since its release in 2013, this VPN company has fallen into disrepute. Starting with the lack of servers to its mysterious website, the trust between the company and customers feels shaky.

In spite of that, however, RA4W VPN has brought plenty of benefits to the table. With roughly 30 servers in over 20 countries, this VPN provider has gained 35000+ customers. Given its small server network, it provides good speeds at relatively low pricing.

To find out the other advantages and disadvantages of the service, keep reading the Ra4W VPN review we wrote. It highlights some fantastic and missing features our team noticed while testing.

Ra4W Plans And Pricing

RA4W VPN offers three different plans, each of which is a little cheaper compared to other VPN providers. The low cost of the service, however, is offset by the lack of free trials and refund policies. If you are considering getting a VPN but are uncertain this one suits you best, the one-month subscription is what you need to try the app out.

Ra4W plans

MasterCard,  Visa,  American  Express,  PayPal  and  Bitcoin are the current payment  methods accepted  by  the  company.

Privacy

When preparing RA4W VPN review, we came across a statement that the service was founded with only one thing in mind: “A VPN that’s reliable, fast, keeps no logs, is affordable, and above all: maintains your anonymity.”

Even though the company is US-based, it strictly follows a no-logging policy and keep no log files, among which are users’:

• Names

• Phone Numbers

• Emails

• House Addresses

To protect the transfer of data online, RA4W VPN uses a 256-Bit AES encryption standard, which, side-note, is considered to be one of the best one. This industry-leading protocol is used by the FBI and CIA and is excellent to keep customer data secure.

Nevertheless, there’s a large gap regarding the security. It comes to the lack of a kill switch, a feature everyone deems necessary, when it’s necessary to disconnect the user’s device after the VPN connection is interrupted. As a result, if the service is corrupted for whatever reason, your internet IP Address will drop and will no longer be hidden.

Performance

This VPN has a very small ratio of servers with plenty of users which can affect reliability and performance. The latter, for example, depends directly on the number of servers – the more of them, the better.

That’s just what “The VPN Lab’s” Ra4W VPN Review is about. It was also observed that certain server locations worked better as compared to others, which was utterly disappointing. Another one big disadvantage is DNS leaks many users repeatedly complained about.

Ra4W Speed

Users certainly want their download speed with a VPN when streaming movies or torrenting files doesn’t differ materially from the usual internet speed. But as we’ve already written, this provider can’t boast this. No doubt, any VPN connection is bound to slow down your internet, but RA4W VPN drops the speed between 65-85 percent which is a huge decrease for any heavy user. Its servers are not very stable and the session ends up timing out too quickly.

Ra4W User Experience

The VPN is quite easy to download and install. It took less than a minute to complete the process that includes;

1. Installing the app and signing in.

2. Choosing a subscription plan suits you best.

3. Making a purchase.

4. Surfing the web while being protected with a VPN.

However, the app’s interface is where the issues begin. Here are some of them that you will have to deal with:

– the design does not look professional and is quite scattered;

– there is not a lot of flexibility between configurations or switching VPN options;

– users’ credentials for the app cannot be used on the desktop website.

The only thing you can do is to choose the server on your own.

Compatibility

RA4W VPN supports only Windows at the moment and cannot be installed on macOS or Linux. Surprisingly to us, this is not much of an issue for many users.

When testing RA4W VPN, we found there’s a thing the company has outdone itself. The user can enjoy unlimited numbers of connections, the essential point here is to change servers. This is an important advantage compared to the major VPN providers who provide a maximum of five connections at a time. So theoretically, if the company has 33 servers, you can be connected to all of them at once!

Customer Support

Though 24-hour customer support sounds great, it doesn’t make any sense if response time is too long. This is exactly what we’ve faced when preparing the RA4W VPN review. The website uses a ticket system which means it can take up to a day or two for your query to be answered and the problem to be solved. Really? Is there anyone of you ready to wait this long? The answer to that is fairly obvious.

But there’s more to come! The support service members are not particularly helpful, especially when dealing with addressing not the most common requests which need technical advice. There are some setup guides and a small FAQ section on the official website, but both were unlikely to patch issues and provide no help at all. These two things require dramatic improvements to be meaningful for users.

Ra4W VPN Final Verdict

Let’s wrap up the RA4W VPN review. The service is appropriate for users who need no more than protection while browsing or unblocking unavailable websites. For such purposes, it’s not a bad thing to buy it considering its low pricing and ability to connect multiple servers simultaneously. Those planning to use a VPN for torrenting or uploading content, we recommend to continue to seek more appropriate options.
